I will be performing 8 of Janis's songs, August 23 on the porch of a cafe in El Morro New Mexicoon August 23rd. A film crew will be interviewing people regarding their relationship with Janis, Janis is so willing to enter other people's bodies, I was curious why she was so willing. So when I asked her why, what I recieved was this: "I want a national Janis holiday on the 3rd Saturday in August". I didn't understand why the 3rd Saturday in August, until a friend told me that Woodstock took place on the 3rd Saturday in August. I am preparing petitions to collect signatures for a National Janis Holiday. If there is an interest in helping obtain signatures. I'll send you copies.
